DepBoard Nearby tab: split-flap boards for Viru and Vabaduse väljak stops in Tallinn with live minute countdowns

How it works

Open it. Look. Go.

No timetables to search, no stop numbers to remember. DepBoard reads the street around you.

  1. Find your spot

Uses your GPS position, or any street, place or address you search for.

  2. Stops, nearest first

Every stop within 500 m becomes its own board, sorted by walking distance.

  3. Departures, live

All boards refresh in one request every 30 s, and the countdown ticks every second.

Features

A departure hall in your pocket

Three tabs: Map, Nearby and Route. They cover the questions you ask at a stop.

Tap a board for the full schedule

Each stop opens into every upcoming departure across all of its platforms, with clock time, countdown and delay. Tap a departure to see the line's whole route and when it reaches each stop.

  • Delays shown as “+2 min delay”
  • Loads more as you scroll
  • Full stop sequence for every line

Trip detail: 7 minute walk, bus 1 from Viru to J. Poska, then a 7 minute walk

Plan a trip by transit, bike, car or taxi

The Route tab compares transit, bike, car and taxi: up to three transit itineraries with walking time, transfers and every stop along the way, bike and car routes with distance and time, and an estimated taxi fare with one-tap Uber booking.

  • Transit, bike, car and taxi in one place
  • Estimated taxi fare, one tap to book
  • Direct and one-transfer transit options

Explore stops on the map

Every stop within 20 km is plotted on OpenStreetMap. Pan around to load more, then tap a marker to open that stop's board.

Search anywhere

No GPS? Search any street, place or address to see the boards around it.

Quiet stops are hidden

A stop with nothing running is left out of the list instead of filling it with empty boards.

Coverage

Six countries, one board

DepBoard combines city and rail feeds into a single view, so a tram stop and a train platform appear side by side.

FAQ

Questions

Can I use DepBoard without installing anything?

Yes. The web app runs in any modern browser on your phone or computer, with the same boards, map and route planner.

Can I plan bike, car or taxi trips?

Yes. The Route tab plans trips by bike and by car, and shows an estimated taxi fare with one-tap Uber booking. Car times don't include live traffic, and taxi fares are estimates.

City transport in Tallinn, Tartu, Pärnu, Narva, Kohtla-Järve, Viljandi, Rakvere, Sillamäe, Kuressaare and Võru and Elron trains in Estonia; Rīga, Daugavpils, Liepāja, Jūrmala, Cēsis, Sigulda, Ogre, Tukums and Vivi trains in Latvia; Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda and LTG Link trains in Lithuania; the Helsinki region (HSL) in Finland; Brussels (STIB-MIVB) in Belgium; and all of Israel, including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Be'er Sheva, Eilat and Israel Railways.

Yes, where the operator publishes real-time data. Boards refresh every 30 seconds, and the minute countdown ticks between refreshes. Delays are shown on the stop page.

Does DepBoard need my location?

Location is used only to find the stops within 500 m of you. If you decline, you can search for any street or place instead.

Is there a home-screen widget?

Yes. On Android, a resizable widget shows a scrollable list of departure cards for your nearby stops. Open the app once after installing so the widget can pick up your stops.

Which languages are supported?

English, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Russian and Finnish, picked automatically from your device language.
