Lines and routes: Brussels
STIB-MIVB runs four metro lines: 1 and 5 cross the city east to west, and 2 and 6 run around the inner ring, with line 6 continuing north to Roi Baudouin near the Atomium. Trams such as line 4 use underground premetro sections, line 7 follows the outer boulevards, and line 44 runs through the Sonian Forest to Tervuren.
A dense bus network fills in between, including express buses to Brussels Airport.
